At SafeBash we collect and manage User data according to the following Privacy Policy, with the goal of incorporating our company values: privacy, security, freedom of speech, transparency, creativity and innovation. This document is part of SafeBash's Terms of Service, and by using (the “Platform”), you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service. Please read the Terms of Service in their entirety, and refer to those for definitions and contacts. This Privacy Policy, in accordance with the Regulation EU 2016/679 protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal Data and the free movement of such Data applies between you, the User of this Platform and SafeBash, the owner and provider of this Platform. SafeBash takes the privacy of your information very seriously. This Privacy Policy applies to our use of any and all Data collected by us or provided by you in relation to your use of the Platform. 1. Definitions and interpretation
In this Privacy Policy, the following definitions are used:
  • Data, collectively all information that you submit to SafeBash via the Platform. This definition incorporates, where applicable, the definitions provided in the Data Protection Laws;
  • Cookies, a small text file placed on your computer by this Website when you visit certain parts of the Platform and/or when you use certain features of the Platform. Details of the cookies used by the Platform are set out in our Cookie Policy;
  • Data Protection Laws, any applicable law relating to the processing of personal Data, including but not limited to the GDPR, and any national implementing laws, regulations and secondary legislation, for as long as the GDPR is effective in the Republic of Ireland;

2. Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies only to the actions of SafeBash and Users with respect to the Platform. It does not extend to any websites that can be accessed from this Platform including, but not limited to, any links we may provide to social media websites. For purposes of the applicable Data Protection Laws, SafeBash is the “data controller”. This means that SafeBash determines the purposes for which, and the manner in which, your Data is processed.
SafeBash is operated from the European Union (EU). If you are visiting the Platform from outside the EU, you agree to any processing of any Data you provide us according to this Privacy Policy.
3. Data collected
We collect anonymous Data from every visitor of the Platform to monitor traffic and fix bugs. For example, we collect information like web requests, the Data sent in response to such requests, the Internet Protocol address, the browser type, the browser language, and a timestamp for the request.
We ask you to log in and provide certain Data (such as your name and email address) in order to be able to save your profile and the Data and files associated with it. In order to enable these or any other login based features, we use cookies to store session information for your convenience. You can block or delete cookies and still be able to use SafeBash, although if you do you will then be asked for your email and passphrase every time you log in to the Platform. In order to take advantage of certain features of the Platform, you may also choose to provide us with other Data, such as your picture or personal website, but your decision to utilize these features and provide such data will always be voluntary.

4. How we collect
We collect Data in the following ways: Data is given to us by you; and Data is collected automatically. SafeBash will collect your Data in a number of ways, for example: when you contact us through the Platform, by telephone, post, e-mail or through any other means;
  • when you complete surveys that we use for research purposes (although you are not obliged to respond to them);
  • when you make payments to us, through the Platform or otherwise;
  • when you elect to receive marketing communication from us;
  • when you use our Services;
in each case, in accordance with this Privacy Policy. To the extent that you access the Platform, we will collect your Data automatically, for example: we automatically collect some information about your visit to the Platform. This information helps us to make improvements to Platform content and navigation, and includes your IP address, the date, times and frequency with which you access the Platform and the way you use and interact with its Content. 5. Use of Data
Any or all of the above Data may be required by us from time to time in order to provide you with the best possible service and experience when using our Platform. Specifically, Data may be used by us for the following reasons:

  • transmission by email of marketing materials that may be of interest to you;

We encrypt all data, and permanently delete any redacted edits you make to your personal Data. If you choose to make any Data public, we recommend you redact any and all references to people and addresses, as we can't protect public Data and we are not responsible for any violation of privacy law you may be liable for.
SafeBash may contact you, by email or other means. For example, SafeBash may send you promotional emails relating to SafeBash or communicate with you about your use of the SafeBash's Services. SafeBash may also use technology to alert us via a confirmation email when you open an email from us. For the delivery of direct marketing to you via email, we’ll need your consent, whether via an opt-in or soft opt-in: soft opt-in consent is a specific type of consent which applies when you have previously engaged with us (for example, you contact us to ask us for more details about a particular product/service, and we are marketing similar products/services). 6. Sharing of Data
We employ and contract with people and other entities that perform certain tasks on our behalf and who are under our control (our “Agents”). 7. Keeping Data secure

8. Data retention
Unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, we will only hold your Data on our systems for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or until your request that the Data be deleted.

10. Transfer outside the European Economic Area
Data which we collect from you may be stored and processed in and transferred to countries outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). For example, this could occur if our servers are located in a country outside the EEA or one of our service providers is situated in a country outside the EEA. We will only transfer Data outside the EEA where it is compliant with data protection legislation and the means of transfer provides adequate safeguards in relation to your Data, e.g. by way of data transfer agreement, incorporating the current standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission. 12. Changes of business ownership and control
SafeBash may, from time to time, expand or reduce our business and this may involve the sale and/or transfer of control of all or part of SafeBash. Data provided by Users will, where it is relevant to any part of our business so transferred, be transferred along with that part and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Privacy Policy, be permitted to use the Data for the purposes for which it was originally supplied to us.
